About Chema Mendez
Chema Mendez is a digital-collage artist based in Spain. Since 2009 he’s been combining classical paintings with modern visual materials to craft surreal, layered artworks.
Style & Approach
His work draws inspiration from the precise geometry of M. C. Escher, the polished surrealism of René Magritte, the emotional dream-world of Miles Johnston and the digital collage aesthetic of Eduardo Recife.
Vision
In early 2024 Chema shifted to a daily-creation practice, embracing experimentation over perfection. He believes consistency and curiosity matter more than any single tool or style, and views art as a process not just a finished object.
